AIRGUNSMITHING
&
Buying, Selling, &
Collecting
Remember that old BB gun you had
as a kid - you know, the one that
took care of all the CATTLE
RUSTLERS, BANK & TRAIN ROBBERS,
and the like?
WHERE IS IT NOW?
In the spare bedroom closet? attic? out in
the woodshed getting all
rusted up (heaven forbid)? Does it still work? Can it be made to work?
WHAT'S IT
WORTH NOW?
While we fix any of the older BB
& Pellet guns, we specialize in fixing
the old Daisy and Crosman brands. I, personally, am partial to the
Daisy Model 1894 BB Rifle (looks like a Winchester "thutty-thutty")
and the Daisy Model 179 Revolver
(that doesn't
actually "revolve") (looks like a Colt, Single Action Army .45.
Neither one of these BB guns shoot
worth a plug nickel - not if you want
to hit your target at any distance. But, I like 'em - and I can fix 'em for
you, or, I'll buy 'em, or take them in on trade for other shooters more to
your liking. (If I don't have what you are looking for, I have some "friends
in the business" that will have, for sure!) And, your "trade ins" don't
have
to be in top shape, either. In fact, I've taken some that were all apart
and in a box. That's okay!
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR GUN
AND HAVE IT FIXED GOOD
AS NEW HERE'S WHAT TO DO:
1. SEND ME A LETTER -
REGULAR OR E-MAIL - AND TELL ME ALL YOU CAN
ABOUT IT: BRAND NAME, MODEL, AND HOW IT ACTS, OR DOESN'T ACT.
2. HAVE YOU, OR ANYONE ELSE, HAD THE GUN APART? IT DOESN'T
MATTER - I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT!
3. ARE ALL THE PARTS THERE - TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE - OR
DO SOME OF THEM SEEM TO BE LOST?
4. I, IN TURN, WILL WRITE BACK TO YOU AND TELL YOU, BASED
UPON WHAT YOU HAVE TOLD ME, WHAT IT'S GOING TO COST
YOU TO HAVE YOUR AIR GUN FIXED.
5. IF WE'RE IN AGREEMENT, I WILL GIVE YOU SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
AND WE'RE ON OUR WAY!
Note: After I repair your airgun, I
will do a "Chronograph Test", using
different brands of BB's or Pellets, so you can judge which works best in
your gun. Just like "real guns", some work better with one kind of ammo than
it does with another. This is "my fun time with your gun", so there's no charge
for this service!!! When I return your gun I send you a record of this test!
IS IT PRACTICAL TO FIX IT?
Sometimes the "fixin"' costs more than the
gun's "market value" after it's
fixed! So fixin' it doesn't seem to make much sense - unless you've had it
for a good many years and want to give it to your child to teach him/her
gun basics and good gun habits.
(Do your share to STOP GUN VIOLENCE and maintain our SECOND
AMENDMENT RIGHTS by TEACHING YOUR CHILD what they need to
know about guns. The way I use guns, they are indeed a pleasure.
Unfortunately, everybody's Dad wasn't as smart as my Dad was.
Dad taught us respect for guns and people. None of his
five children ever had a problem with
guns in any manner, nor have
any of their children, nor their children's children' We ALL follow
the same common sense rules?
Now it starts to make more sense! BUT,
who says it has to make sense
when it comes to fixin' your old BB gun, anyhow? The good sense is that
you want your old BB gun fixed!
Course, there's the other thing! If you
don't think it's worth fixing, I
might be able to use it for parts to fix another boy's or girl's gun that
might otherwise go unfixed, due to lack of parts. Don't ever think it isn't
worth anything at all - not 'til you ask - okay?
Warranty:
We warrant all of the guns we repair for a period of one
year against defects in material and workmanship
OTHER GUNS I COLLECT
The Crosman, Frontier "36"
BB"; The Hahn "45" BB; & The Crosman,
Peacemaker "44" Pellet, Single Action Revolvers. (Including any of the
variations sold by Sears, Wards, Western Auto, etc., etc..) These all look
like the Colt SAA Revolvers - and the cylinders really do revolve! These
revolvers are powered by C02. I like to practice my "fast draw" with them!
Now don't start getting ideas that you
can beat me - just 'cause you
can out draw a 70 year old Cowboy/Indian that has slowed up a mite in
later years, I mean, so what? Not only that, but I'm like an old collie
dog - I love most everybody!!!
MAYBE YOU JUST WANT TO LEARN
WHAT IT'S WORTH!
TELL ME ALL YOU CAN ABOUT YOUR BB
GUN AND WE'LL
GO FROM THERE! (PICTURES NEVER HURT, EITHER, IF YOU
HAVE THEM AVAILABLE AND CAN SEND 'EM TO ME!)
Frankly, since we've been on the net, I've had the honor
and privilege
to appraise old guns that had been found in a hedge row and weren't in
"that bad" of condition to some that were found in Grandad's closet that
were worth several thousand dollars! Some of these people had no idea
what they had until they sent in descriptions, pictures, and the like. In
fact, I had to write back and get additional information on some to be
sure they had what it appeared they had' WOW - that can be fun and
exciting - for me as well as them! And it didn't cost them one thin dime
to find out - cause we don't charge for appraisals. Like I said, it's our
honor and privilege to provide this information and
all you have to do is ask!

CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS APPLY TO PURCHASING
AND REPAIRING AIRGUNS
1. AS MUCH AS I LOVE CHILDREN -
I will not, knowingly, "deal" with you if
you are under 21 years of age.
AIRGUNS ARE NOT TOYS - They can
be extremely dangerous to the person
handling them, to by-standers, and to property. Also, there are certain laws
and regulations pertaining to airguns that vary from area to area, and
I cannot possibly keep up with them. Thus I will only deal with responsible
adults that are willing to send a copy of their driver's license, or other
picture/signature I.D.. that I can keep on file. In so doing, this adult agrees
that they accept total responsibility for knowing and abiding by their local
& state laws and regulations pertaining to said airguns.
2. The above restriction does
not apply to correspondence! :-) I will be happy to
write to you, no matter your age, answering questions that I am able and sharing
any information that I may have pertaining to your gun(s). I just won't buy from you,
sell to you, or even repair a gun for you. This must be done through your
parent(s), or legal guardian(s), ONLY!
3. If you send me a gun for any reason, what-so-ever, I have every right to assume
you are doing so legally. If it is discovered that other conditions
exist - YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE, NOT I!
